Minnesota Social Security Disability Lawyer

I have been a lawyer for 20 years. While I have been primarily in the general practice of law for much of that time, I worked for the Social Security Administration at the Hearing Level as an attorney and I have been handling Social Security cases through the years.

My practice has also included working with clients with physical and mental impairments as trial lawyer in personal injury cases. My Bachelor’s Degree is in Social Work is from the University of Minnesota and my Juris Doctorate Degree is from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. I chose to specialize in Social Security Disability Law because it combines all of my education, skills, and experience that I have acquired through the years.

You will receive personal one-on-one contact from me. I understand that your disability claim is the most important issue in your life at this time. I meet with each client several times to get to know them and to develop their claim. I take the time to listen and understand all of the issues in your case. I go through the potential problems with your case and discuss with you how those problems may be resolved prior to the hearing. Usually these issues can be resolved by further documentation or gathering more evidence prior to the hearing

I usually write a Memorandum for the Judge setting forth my theory of disability prior to the hearing. Judges are hearing cases all day long, everyday. It is helpful to them if we can provide a Memorandum with a summary of the case before the hearing.

I go through the testimony and hearing format with you before we get to court with so you will understand the process prior to the hearing.
