Disability Benefits Services: You will receive personal one-on-one contact from the attorneys at Peggy L. Stevens Law Office. Peggy L. Stevens and Stephanie A. Johnson understand that your disability claim is the most important issue in your life at this time. Attorneys Stevens and Johnson meet with each client several times to get to know them and to develop their claim. They take the time to listen and understand all of the issues in your case. They go through the potential problems with your case and discuss with you how those problems may be resolved prior to the hearing. Usually these issues can be resolved by further documentation or gathering more evidence prior to the hearing

Some of the services you will receive from Peggy L. Stevens and Stephanie A. Johnson include, but are not limited to . . .

  • Provide you with the advantages of a local social security attorney, including face-to-face, personal contact.

  • Help you complete the application process leading up to your Social Security Disability Hearing: your Request for Reconsideration, Request for Hearing, and the accompanying Disability Report Appeals.

  • Compile your medical records, vocational rehabilitation records, school records (if applicable), and any other information that will support your claim. These records will be submitted electronically to the Social Security Administration through Electronic Records Express. This process makes it quicker and easier for your records to be transferred securely, and this process further improves the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of decision-making throughout the Social Security Disability Application Process.

  • Acquire information from your Social Security file.

  • In the vast majority of cases, I will write a Memorandum for the Judge. The Memorandum sets forth my theory of disability prior to the hearing. Judges are hearing cases all day long, everyday. It is helpful to them if we can provide a Memorandum with a summary of the case before the hearing.

  • Before we go to court, I will prepare you for your hearing. We will go through your testimony and the format of the hearing. Also, I will prepare your witnesses. By doing this, you will have a better understanding of the process prior to, during, and after the hearing.

  • Attend and represent you at your Social Security hearing.

We look forward to working with every prospective client. We invite you to fill out our free consultation request form on the top of this webpage or give us a call to discuss your situation: 651-704-9600.

CLIENT'S TESTIMONIALS:

  • "In my family's quest to help our sister, who due to her disability was unable to actually help herself, we found Peggy Stevens. It was a God Send. She was available to answer our legal questions and put the whole process into perspective for us. She was able to put my sister at ease and provide her with the reassurance that she so greatly needed to get through the whole process. Peggy's exceptional ability to prepare us for the proceedings, along with knowing how to present the case, resulted in our goal of Disability being granted for our sister. We could not have done this without her. My sister and I are very grateful for all her effort and compassion. I highly recommend Peggy Stevens as a Lawyer of Social Security Disability."

  • "Peggy Stevens is a good listener, with attention to detail. I felt that she was able to understand where I was coming from in my neuropathy case against Social Security. Because my neuropathy was increasing, she was able to expedite my case to a positive conclusion."

  • "I wanted to thank you again for all your help with my sister. I think she was in shock yesterday and did not quite believe that after all this time that it was finally over, and that she had won her case. It is such a great relief to all of us that she can now start a new chapter in her life. She can take the energy she's had to put into just surviving into getting to a better place mentally. Thank you again so much for your time and help."

  • "From our first visit in your office, you were upfront and honest with me. You explained what I could expect from you and what I needed to do. You were always on top of the process. You always called and let me know what the next step was and what was needed. You always were one step ahead of the needs of S.S. disability. I never lost confidence in you during the process. Your phone calls to see how things were going, or to give me updates were always encouraging. I never had to call you to inquire about the status of my claim, but if I have any questions you were right there to answer them. I will never forget the phone call when you told me I was granted S.S. Disability. I appreciate how you always made me feel like I was important to you. Peggy, you never made me feel like I was just another client. I felt as though I was your only client. You have become a friend. I will refer you to anyone I know that is struggling with the S.S. Disability process."
